Tatyana Grechina, Golden Amethyst Light, 5 × 7 inches, oil on canvas, 2026.

One area of my garden always drew my eye — especially in the early afternoon light when the sun would hit the leaves in that specific way that drenched them in honey. The morning glories would sometimes bloom hot pink, but on this day they had a new, purple vine. The combination of gold, purple and green looked like a beautiful tapestry to me, and I was compelled to paint it as such.
