Drawing sharpens the eye and chisels the mind. We make sense of the world around us through line. It gives definition to amorphous lives of the objects in our field. It tells the story of our day through the things we leave in our wake — a quiet spotlight on unassuming main characters. Drawing is seeing.
I have always used sight and line to understand the world around me — a way to digest the barrage of information constantly thrust upon us. It allows me to slow down, see it, process and release. It helps clear the clutter and organize things into settled spaces — even mess.
This collection of sketchbooks ranges from 2018 to 2025 (and ongoing).
